We are buzzword- aware, but not buzzword- driven. Businesses have operated, by and large, the same for decades (and in many respects, for centuries). Profit margins, human capital, marketing, analysis and planning, measurement, procurement and sales; all of these areas have remained much the same, even in the midst of sweeping technical advances. A dollar is still a dollar; a man-hour, still a man-hour (or perhaps it's now a person-hour).
